Tell Me More

The talented Ms. Morgan has created an elegant, beautiful, reverent image of one of the world's most beloved religious leaders of modern times as he quietly bows his head to pray.  Pope John Paul II sits alone with his thoughts and prayers.  On May 1 of this year, millions of people visited the Vatican for its beatification ceremony honoring Pope John.

About The Artist

I was born, raised and educated in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and developed an early interest in art at my Mother's knee as she loved to draw.

After graduation, I met and married my husband, a professional baseball player.  In the many years of travel in the states and Europe, I was afforded many opportunities to study art from many wonderful instructors.  Some of these years were spent in Italy.

We chose El Paso, Texas as our home in 1973.  Shortly there-after I became a member of Las artistas.  All the while taking advantage of many workshops and instruction.  I had for many years been working in oil impaso, then I met Ann Massey, who taught me a love of realism and the colored pencil technique.

Eventually I discovered the art of pastels, of which I have a strong love and respect.  I became a charter member of the Pastel Society of El Paso and served as President in 2006 - 2007.

I have received art awards here in El Paso as well as abroad.  My art has been collected around the world privately and corporately.

My objective is to remain open to new ideas, techniques and mediums.  all the while remaining true to myself.
